Gaspard W. Giroud

Gaspard W. Giroud is the Founder and President of The TRACE Institute, where he supports the development of an independent research organization focused on consciousness, perception, and the foundations of physical reality.

His role includes institutional strategy, research support, fundraising, partnerships, communications, and the translation of complex scientific ideas for broader audiences. TRACE's work is centered on the possibility that spacetime and physical objects may be interface structures rather than fundamental entities, and on supporting rigorous mathematical, theoretical, and empirical work in that direction.

Before TRACE, Gaspard W. Giroud founded Mira, a company working with real-time 3D, spatial computing, AI, and multi-user virtual environments. He previously co-founded Piranha NYC, a digital and creative technology studio.

Trained as an architect in France and the United States, he holds a Master of Science from Columbia University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and has taught computer graphics at Pratt Institute in New York.
